The California Seals (named after the large seal population inhabiting the San Francisco Bay area) began play in October 1967 and within a few weeks, their name was changed to the Oakland Seals. The Oakland Seals were led by Captain Bobby Baun and legendary netminder Charlie Hodge their first season at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Arena. This kelly green 100% pre-shrunk cotton tee has the team symbol (blue 'O' with a skating seal) on the chest and 'OAKLAND SEALS' below.
