The year 1964 was the last year for the 'Colt .45s' name of the Houston franchise. The name was selected from fan input, however the Colt Firearms Company did not take kindly to the Trademark infringement of their name. The 1964 Houston Colt .45s Athletic Grey T-shirt is a 90% cotton/10% polyester garment (to eliminate shrinkage), has the retro 'COLTS' in smoke emerging from the gun symbol on the chest. The Cooperstown Collection label is also embroidered above the bottom hem. On December 1, 1964 ownership changed the name to 'Astros' in respect of the Space program based in the city. In 1965 the team moved into their new home the Astrodome, the first indoor baseball stadium in the world.
