In the summer of 1957 the Giants announced their move to San Francisco for the 1958 season. The team finished in sixth place and the last New York Giants season at the Polo Grounds came to a lacklustre end on September 29, 1957. The 1957 New York Giants Black T-shirt is a 100% cotton black tee. The retro orange 'NY' symbol is screen printed across the chest and the left sleeve has a retro patch with the address of the old Polo Grounds at the corner of 155th Street & 8th Avenue. The Cooperstown Collection label is also embroidered above the bottom hem. The old Polo Grounds saw a resurgence for the 1962 and 1963 seasons as the newly formed New York Mets made it their home until Shea Stadium was completed for the 1964 season. The Polo Grounds was demolished on April 10, 1964 forever a great piece of New York history.
Message From The Chairman: Our staff decided that it was time to bring back some really great retro logo tees. The New York Giants iconic interlocking orange 'NY' symbol made famous in the fifties was a must for retro fans. Our staff worked with our supplier to dig up a memorial patch to the Polo Grounds and placed it on the left sleeve of this special tee.
