Mr. Met has been a symbol of the Mets since the franchise moved into Shea Stadium for the 1964 season. The New York Mets Cooperstown Ringer T-shirt is a 100% cotton royal blue tee, with contrasting orange arm and neck trim. The chest has the retro 'Mr. Met' symbol and the Cooperstown Collection label is also embroidered above the bottom hem. Mr. Met was Major League Baseball's first mascot and in the 1970's was accompanied at times by 'Mrs. Met' or 'Lady Met'.
